Empowering Farmers Through Sustainable Agriculture
For many lakhs of Muddebihal residents who suffer from hunger and poverty, agriculture is their primary source of income. The majority of these individuals are associated with small-scale (smallholder) farms.
C. S. Nadagouda believes that smallholder farmers can harness the power of food production to improve their families' lives while providing local consumers with dependable access to wholesome and affordable food. His initiatives include quality pesticides, improved seeds, fertilizers, agricultural mechanization equipment, and the construction of storage facilities to strengthen the agricultural economy.
The Development Work in the Sphere of Agriculture
1. Almatti Left Bank Canal works completed in a record time without any hindrance either by public or farmers and lakhs of farmers are benefited.
2. Agriculture R&D Centre and Farmers Training Centre was announced in the Budget 2017–18 by CM Siddaramaiah.
3. ALBC Canal Constructions.
4. Chimmalagi East and West Canal Constructions.
5. Mulavad-III Phase Huvina Hipparagi Branch Canal Constructions.
6. Nagarabetta Lift Irrigations (150 CR).
7. Budihal-Peerapur Lift Irrigations (380 CR).
8. ALBC Moderation (Strengthen).
9. Water filling of MI Tanks (Madinal, Geddalamari, Ingalageri, Adavi).
10. Hulagabal, Madikeshwar, Taranal, Basarakod and check dams.
11. Budihal Peerapur Lift Irrigation – Ongoing works.
12. ALBC moderation was taken up with Distribution Channels and Field Channels.
13. Constructed to irrigate more than 20 thousand acres.
14. SCP/TSP works CC Roads, Drains & Irrigation in various villages has been taken up.
15. 370 Solar Pump sets were installed for the benefit of small and marginal farmers / SC and ST farmers.
